What is the Best Field Service Software that Integrates with My Company?

An HVAC Contractor in Iowa asked:

“What is the best field service software that complements EGIA?”

EGIA faculty member Gary Elekes started explaining that regardless of integrations or which software works well with one another, a company’s software needs to align with the company’s goals and actually be able to help a company achieve those goals. While integrations save time and add convenience, the most important part of any software is the task that it is completing or making easier for you.

“A lot of times the software platform has features and benefits to it that you may not use,” said Elekes. “The trick is matching up your goals with your budget, your wishlist and what the software actually does.”

Elekes also factors in user-friendliness, and whether or not he will have to have a full-on training session with his employees to be able to make the software useful.

Elekes then moved on to the question at hand, explaining that EGIA itself does not adhere or recommend to a single software platform, and is actually more geared towards recommending best practices regardless of the specific brand of software a company is utilizing.
