In the November 2021 Snapshot Survey, contractors share their company’s approach to offering Artificial Intelligence (AI) and smart HVAC products to help you strategize your product mix. Here’s one survey question and its results from the “Artificial Intelligence and Smart HVAC Products” summary report, which will be available in its entirety to EGIA members on 12/17/21.
What artificial intelligence (AI) and/or Smart HVAC products does your contracting business sell?
With consumers becoming more comfortable with artificial intelligence (AI) and smart technologies, more and more of these time-and-money-saving products are becoming commonplace in the home. That means HVAC customers expect the same kind of smart automation options for their home comfort systems. Contractors that adapt to these new demands will raise to the top of the marketplace. According to the HVAC company owners who took our survey, 87% are already offering smart heating and cooling controls, such as the Nest thermostat. Over half of contractors (53%) offer temperature sensors and 40% offer remote monitoring and diagnostics to help their customers control their home comfort on the go.
Here’s what an HVAC contractor from Georgia said in the survey:
“We offer indoor air monitoring along with smart thermostats. We have samples of most everything we offer in AI and smart products and explain why it is best to have these on their systems.”
