In the October 2023 Snapshot Survey, we asked contractors about energy efficient and sustainable systems. Here’s one survey question and its results from the “Energy Efficient/Sustainable Systems” summary report, which is available in it’s entirety by Contractor University members here.
Why Do You Offer High-Efficiency Systems?
Survey responses indicate a broad scope of motivation behind offering high-efficiency systems. The leading reasons are the “Opportunity to generate more revenue” (58%), “Cost-savings over time for the homeowner” (50%) and “Customer preference” (46%), which demonstrates that energy efficiency presents opportunities for both the contractor and the customer. 12% of respondents do not offer such systems, highlighting a gap in market offerings. The diverse motivations suggest that while economic factors are significant, customer demand and regulatory compliance also play crucial roles.
